The New Jersey State Police (NJSP) has created an online PTC application portal. This system is similar to the FARs system used to apply for your firearms ID card and/or your permit to purchase applications. This greatly streamlines the process which eliminates the need to schedule an in-person appointment with a firearms officer. The only time an applicant will have to come to HQ is to submit the $150 purchase order but no appointment is needed for this, any officer can accept the money order.
